What is project graduation?

Greetings Senior Parents!

We are excited to announce that Project Graduation 2021 has been scheduled for these amazing seniors. Project Graduation is a celebration for Bishop Miege Seniors after the graduation ceremony. This annual event is sponsored by Bishop Miege parents and is independent of the school. Participation in Project Graduation provides our senior class an opportunity to socialize and celebrate in a chaperoned, alcohol/drug free environment. Each year, nearly 100 percent of the senior class attends and participates in an array of activities that include a hypnotist, casino games, karaoke lounge, batting cages, spike ball, cornhole, food and drinks, and a giant raffle event with awesome prizes.

Thanks to the generosity of Sean and Kelli Wilson (St. Elizabeth’s parishioners and Waldo business owners) this year’s event will take place at Teamwork Sports KC in Kansas City, Missouri. The venue is perfect for this event. It is spacious and has garage doors that will be opened throughout the facility for extra ventilation. Additionally, a large tent will be erected in the parking lot creating a large outdoor space for a casino and other activities. Masks are mandatory while attending the event. Buses will be provided from the Miege parking lot. Each student is required to ride the bus to and from the event. The venue has limited parking and we need to ensure that each student arrives and leaves safely from the venue. More information is forthcoming regarding transportation. If you have any additional questions regarding security or COVID precautions, feel free to contact Lou Patterson or Debbie O’Connor, co-chairs.

WHO: All 2021 Bishop Miege High School graduates are invited to attend.

WHEN: May 15, 2021(night of graduation) from 9:00 p.m.-1:00 a.m. (Buses will load at Miege at 8:30 p.m. and arrive back at Miege between 1:15-and 1:30 a.m.)

WHERE: Teamwork Sports KC, 310 W. 80th Street, Kansas City, MO (just east of Wornall on 80th)
