THE LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS OF RILEY COUNTY

FALL 2016 SEMESTER

MC 645: PR Campaigns is the senior capstone course for public relations students. Our client was the League of Women Voters of Riley County, who wanted to work with us during the 2016 Presidential election in order to increase local voter turnout. In particular, we noticed Millennials struggled to make it to the polls. After researching their attiutdes, we devised a unique campaign based heavily in satire that resulted in incredible success.

FRIENDS OF ANIMALS

FALL 2015 SEMESTER

In my MC 382: PR Strategies course, a group of us were assigned to work with Friends of Animals Inc., a local non-profit, meaning we had to utilize every free source available! It was a challenging but worthwhile lesson in free media and promotion. It was also very rewarding, their donations increased substantially after our semester of work. These were the results of our project.

THE WRITING CENTER

SPRING 2014 SEMESTER

My MC 280: PR Writing course had been assigned to promote the Writing Center on campus, specifically to freshmen and incoming students. The requested a presentation they could use for these students, as well as promotional materials. My group saw this as an opportunity to make a humorous, but informative pitch to new students in a memorable campaigns.
